Exploring European Natural Gas Markets

A two-day workshop on the UK and continental European gas markets. Starting with an overview of European gas fundamentals - sources of supply, pipeline and LNG infrastructure, sources and patterns of demand - then focusing on the regulatory regime and the EU's market liberalisation programme, the workshop moves on to look at the nature of gas trading in the UK and Europe - the instruments traded, the hubs and virtual trading points at which trading occurs, and issues and problems in the development of open, liquid spot and forward markets for European gas.
