	Areas of Expertise Sample Projects		Sample Projects The following is a sample of projects that we have completed since the formation of the company in 2002. Market research for an information publisher An energy information publishing company asked us to investigate the potential market for their products in an emerging sector of the European energy markets. Through analysis of existing data and a programme of interviews with actual and potential end-users of the client's products, we quickly built up a detailed picture of the information requirements of the sector. We were also able to feed back important information on how the market perceived our client's products in comparison with those of their competitors, in terms of content, quality, price and other relevant factors. Through our independent, objective approach, we were able to provide our client with a great deal of competitive information that they could not otherwise reliably obtain. Top ^ Product strategy for energy market systems provider A financial information software and information provider asked us to assist in the development and implementation of a strategy for marketing their services to the energy trading sector. Over a four-month period, we worked closely with our client and with their customers in Europe and America to ensure that existing and planned products met the requirements of energy trading organisations. Combining our external perspective with internal ideas already present, we were able to work with the client to create a more focused and coherent strategy for their energy business, and to communicate this strategy throughout the organisation. We recommended and implemented a simplification of the range of products offered to the energy sector and our work provided the company with product positioning and marketing approaches that directly addressed the needs of energy traders. European gas trading research In 2003/04, we undertook a major research project into the state of the liberalising gas markets and the development of gas trading throughout Europe. The results of our research, which involved information gathering from hundreds of sources and interviews with market participants and regulatory bodies, were made available in a report published by Prospex Research. In response to user demand, we have revisited the evolving European gas markets on a regular basis, publishing reports on European gas trading annually, plus additional reports on specific national markets from time to time.
